Let’s bear,
my beloved,
the cacophony
of a seething summer,
trickling tears
of a gloomy rain,
broken promises of fall,
and solemn sorrows
nurtured
by a vengeful winter.
Let’s wait.
And when spring comes,
a thousand embers
will bloom
and burst out
of frail branches
and light the forest red,
for us.
Oh, my heart!
